Chicou-Chicou

Chicou-Chicou is a collective webcomic I did with Aude Picault, Domitille Collardey, Lisa Mandel and Erwann Surcouf (plus guests)
It was a fake autobio blog: we all picked a character and pretended to draw our own lives in a small town in the north west of France (Château-Gontier).
At first it was a sort of parody of the autobio trend we were seeing in every webcomic (mine included!) and then we went further and further into fiction, adding surreal elements. We would be suddenly pirates in the XVIIIe century, or Space travellers, or just regular people during the black plague. Or there would be a sudden zombies outbreak.
It was an "exquisite corpse" type of improvisation: we wouldn't plan anithing. Someone was starting a story when he/she was feeling like it, and the other ones were free to jump in anytime and make it go in any direction.
It lasted a few years, between 2006 and 2011, then was published as a book with the french publisher Delcourt.
